Avaya DECT Avaya InBuilding Wireless Server R2 Basic+ (700501481) is an application server for the DECT R4 system and can run applications such as SMS messaging, centralized phonebook, and corporate directory access. The AIWS2 supports centralized device management, including firmware and configuration upgrades over the air. The AIWS2 has replaced the AIWS1 design and is supported by the IP Office 8.0. Several variants of the server are available but there is no upgrade available between variants.

The AIWS2 Basic+ Variant features up to 32 handsets, NTP Server, Central Phonebook, Corporate Directory Access (TFTP from IP Office), SMS Support, Basic Web Messaging, Netpage Web Messaging, Over-the-Air Handset Software Upload, Over-the-Air Handset Configuration Upload, Handset Software Upload via Advanced/Rack Charger, Handset Configuration Upload via Advanced/Rack Charger, and Virtual SIM Card. The AIWS2 has a built-in power supply and included wall mounting brackets. The AIWS is supplied with a number of power leads suitable for most locales. Various other mounting kits are also available. For installation and maintenance, this server is managed by a PC using Windows Internet Explorer (7.0 or above) and Sun’s Java Runtime Environment.
