Samsung Electronics Introduces the Company’s Innovative B2B Display Solutions at the 2014 CES

Samsung Electronics showcases its advanced B2B display solutions at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show at Las Vegas. The company will design its booth featuring the “paradise of hotels” theme and the new solutions best for hotel use. 

At the 2014 International CES in Las Vegas, Samsung Electronics introduced a new commercial LDF or Large Format Display by showcasing several ground-breaking LFD solutions, that will improve customers’ experiences in several industries. The company will demonstrate the first-rate capabilities of LFD applied in business, retail, and hotel, through a booth in the event which was designed like a hotel to represent “paradise of hotels”.

The booth will be composed of several displays in each setting, featuring some virtual environments, using Samsung ME95C, the world’s largest 95-inch LED LFD and Samsung Interactive Whiteboard, including:

  • A Lobby Video Wall
  • Display Solutions for Business Centers
  • New Hotel TV Solution

The Interactive White Board or IWB solution, which was used in the showcase, uses technologies featuring touch and multi-screen. Conveniently designed as a collaborative solution meant for corporate and educational uses, the IWB solution is an electronic bulletin board run by teaming up excellent software and hardware, which gave way to the possibility of a single PC-operated large screens.

Currently in mass production, Samsung ME95C boasts its 2.1 meters LED, offering clear picture quality, as well as other excellent features. It was through this display that the capabilities of LFD was showcased. This would also help users to conveniently adjust screens and design laser pointer functions.

For five years still currently maintaining its leading position in the LFD market, Samsung Electronics sales volume for LFD in 2013’s third quarter accounted 26.4%. Enough proof of the company’s stand in the growing market of B2B display.

Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display Business Senior Vice President Jeong-hwan Kim said, “Samsung continues to actively look for new markets for our innovative LFD B2B displays, including hotels, conference centers and shopping malls. In the coming year, we will continue to add more innovative and differentiated LFD solutions in the market.” 

Meeting the hotel industry’s demand for advanced displays, Samsung Electronics offers new in-room and lobby environments advanced display solutions. The company also showcased a hotel lobby’s video wall to provide information with real-time updates, including exchange rates and weather information. In addition to this, a new hotel TV solution was also revealed. Improving guest’s satisfaction and viewing experience, this new solution will increase fun by adding games and films. It will also provide useful information like tourist attractions and the like.

Samsung Electronics also introduced Smart View. Enabling guests to enjoy watching movies and television shows from their mobile devices on a large hotel TV screen, the Smart View is an advanced functionality that allows guests to connect their mobile devices to the hotel’s TV screen.
