Polycom, Inc. announced the achievement of Polycom® RealPresence® CloudAXIS™ Suite of the VMware Ready™ status.

An extension of Polycom® RealPresence® Platform, the Polycom RealPresence CloudAXIS Suite is a solution that enables the use of a reliable, enterprise-grade and secure video collaboration to a web browser. This means that video collaboration is now more accessible to users-be it business or consumer- who would need it. This is made possible by simply sending a URL link to the user through a calendar invitation or email. The important factors that should be present though are camera and browser. When it was announced that Polycom RealPresence CloudAXIS Suite has achieved its VMware Ready™ status, this meant that after undergoing some specific tests and procedures, the solution can already be supported on the VMware vSphere® 5.0. This is considered a huge fulfillment for Polycom, since it will open up more opportunities for the company to provide more solutions for video collaboration through more virtualized software environments.

With over thousand members worldwide, the VMware Ready programme was co-branded with the Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) programme.
