Spotlight Keynote Speakers for the SAMSUNG Developer Conference 2014 Revealed!

SAMSUNG Developer Conference 2014 presented over 100 tech visionaries and experts from the company, as well as its partners, for its Spotlight Keynote Speakers as revealed by SAMSUNG Electronics last October 27, 2014. They discussed and covered 90 sessions, as well as across 14 themes, which included:

• Smart Health
• Smart Home
• Wearables
• Virtual Reality

Designed to show-off consumer-oriented technologies, products, and services offering developers new opportunities to explore, the Second Annual Samsung Developer Conference has the theme: “Connected Living. Connecting Developers”. Set to happen from November 11 to 13, 2014 at MOSCONE West in San Francisco, California, the conference endeavored to feature future-immersed topics and business and comprehensive technical sessions and workshops. This include:

• “SmartThings Workshop”
• “Making Your Wearable Work for You”- focusing on the new Samsung Gear S
• “An Introduction to Enterprise HTML5 App Development”

Besides all of these, SAMSUNG Electronics also revealed some innovations and tools used by developers and its partners in several areas.

Some of the Spotlight keynotes include:

President and Head of Samsung Media Solutions Center: Won-Pyo Hong- will share his vision of the “Connected Lifestyle” and the opportunity for developers.

President and Chief Strategy Officer, Samsung Electronics: Young Sohn- will address the current landscape for digital health technologies, overcoming roadblocks to implementation and opportunities for developers.

Vice President, Content and Product Solutions/GM Smart Home, Samsung Electronics America: Eric Anderson- will talk about smart home trends and how smart homes will look in the near future for consumers.

Vice President, Immersive Products & Virtual Reality, Samsung Telecommunications America: Nicholas DiCarlo- will share Samsung’s vision for delivering a compelling, and mainstream Virtual Reality experience powered by the Smartphone.

Vice President, Head of Think Tank Team, Samsung Research America Pranav Mistry- will update developers on new tools to build compelling applications.

Founder & CEO, SmartThings, Inc. (recently acquired by Samsung): Alex Hawkinson- will discuss SmartThings' continued vision for openness and opportunities for innovation in the smart home and consumer Internet of Things.
