SAMSUNG Electronics “Creating Possibilities, Shaping Future” at 2015 Consumer Electronics Show

SAMSUNG Electronics Co., Ltd. did not only attend the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show at Las Vegas to receive awards, but also to show the public what the company has to offer this year. With beyond 1,700 media and industry partners, the 2015 CES is the best avenue to showcase SAMSUNG’s new portfolio. Unveiling the company’s vision for smart living, SAMSUNG showcased its products under the banner, “Creating Possibilities, Shaping the Future” in the 2015 CES press conference.

Leading the entire showcase of SAMSUNG’s next gen devices and services, the company’s Milk VR virtual reality video service and 88-inch SUHD TV brought out the focus of the company in the creation of enhanced consumer lifestyle experiences and transporting the future in the homes of the people. So far, SAMSUNG 2015 portfolio was able to garner 36 CES Innovations Awards.

President and Chief Operating Officer of Samsung Electronics America, Tim Baxter, confirms that the company’s focus this 2015 is delivering great experience. In addition, he said, “More than ever, Samsung is focused on smarter living at the intersection between great technology, content and services. And, it’s our insight – that all innovation has to be focused on the consumer experience – which is underpinning Samsung’s success.”

SAMSUNG leads High Quality Picture with SUHD TV

Unveiled by SAMSUNG in the 2015 CES, the 88-inch JS9500 TV is innovatively expected to deliver optimal picture quality because of these factors:

• Stunning contrast
• Striking brightness
• Spectacular color
• Superb UHD detail

Its power and performance are backed up by intelligent SUHD re-mastering engine and the nano-crystal display technology of its semiconductor.

The SUHD re-mastering engine is capable of:

• Automatically analyzing image brightness, enabling it to reduce extra power consumption
• Providing stunning contrast levels, which improves the brightness of the images 2 and a half more than standard televisions
• Has twice color adjustment points

The SUHD Nano-crystal Semiconductor can:

• Transmit light colors based on the size of the television in order to provide the most efficient light and color purity
• Provide more accurate colors and a wide range of it
• Give users twice color adjustments points
• Provide 64 times more color expression compared to standard televisions

The existence of the SUHD TV is proof that SAMSUNG aims to give consumers the optimal UHD viewing experience they could have. Another proof of this is the company’s collaboration with the 20^th Century Fox and its partnership with the Fox Innovation Lab. The critically-acclaimed movie, Exodus, was re-mastered specifically for the SUHD TV.

Renowned Hollywood colorist Stephen Nakamura, who worked in famous movies like Quantum of Solace, Exodus, and X-Men: Days of Future Past, clarified the importance of SUHD TV’s color in the press conference of 2015 CES. He said, “Color really sets the tone for a movie. It can completely change the mood and the feel. I recently re-mastered Exodus for the SUHD TV, and the experience was incredible. It really brought the film to life in ways I never thought possible.”

Samsung Electronics America Executive Vice President Joe Stinziano also shared his insights and said, “Samsung is advancing UHD to the next-generation viewing experience, bringing never-before-seen-on-TV colors come to life in your home.”
