SAMSUNG Announces the Winners of the 5th Annual Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Contest

Samsung has been hosting contest for years and one of its bests is the Annual Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Contest. With a total of $2 Million of prizes, SAMSUNG awarded the winners of the nationwide STEM education contest in D.C., together with the U.S. government officials.

• Nicholson Elementary School, Picayune, Miss.

Robot: to survey and prevent flooding issues

• Galena High School, Reno, Nev.

3D Printer: to design mobility equipment for students with special needs

• Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy, Erie, Pa.

Vertical Farming Model: to help citizens grow their healthy and fresh food in their high-poverty urban area

• Hudson’s Bay High School, Vancouver, Wash

Mushroom: to improve recycling efforts and reduce waste removal spending
