About Konftel

Konftel started in 1988 with the collaboration of two local businessmen in Sweden, Peter Renkel, and John-Erik Eriksson. When Renkel was hired by a bank manager in Swedenas an electrical consultant to look for the ideal conference telephone system to install in their new offices, he asked the help of Eriksson. And finding it hard to find an excellent one for the bank manager, the duo decided, with the blessing of the manager, to create a conference phone system themselves. And this is how Konftel started in its operations.

After the success of the conference phone system that Renkel created for the bank manager, it gained its popularity and the system became the talk of the town with people inquiring about it every now and then. And this is how Konftel was created. With two local businessmen backing up the duo, the company successfully took off with Renkel as the CEO and Eriksson as the Acoustic Designer of the company.
