The Mitel Navigator is an innovative space saving alternative to a fully integrated IP desktop handset. IP Telephones today continue to evolve with larger LCD screens that do provide additional functionality, but add significantly to the cost of each handset. Mitel took the logical step to utilise the large screen that the user already has on their desk. The Mitel Navigator IP Telephone comes with software that is loaded onto the PC to provide additional visual information such as caller display, URL hotkeys plus additional function buttons. The Navigator phone functions independently of the PC. If the PC is turned off or crashes, the phone call and ability to make and receive calls is uninterrupted
